Snoop Dogg will give you a MacBook Ari

It looks like Snoop Dogg want to have some 'Apple goodness. Crestock hosts a w </ a \ u003allpaper design competition with Dre protected where premiums during four rounds are: an iPod 80GB classic touch an iPod 16GB, 32GB iPod and touch a MacBook Air. The first three entries in each round, even placement on snoopdogg.com (and its MySpace page… in case anyone with enough taste to assume actually goes to MySpace) and a load of Snoop Dogg goods with a street value $ 500 +.

With or without double-g-action, is a possibility pe-design inclined to get a little 'work out there and score an iPod or an airplane. Of course, is essentially upon specifications, which could be some flak, but you're not competing for a job. Six competitors for Internet glory and a MacBook air, so it's really just good clean fun (izzle).

Spaces important change in 105

May 31, 2008

Filed Under:

In addition to DARING Fireball John Gruber has found an interesting change in the recently released the update 10.5.3. There is now a check box in public areas card Exposé & Spaces Panel preferences change what happens f you switch to a request (via ⌘ + Tab or the Dock) that does not have a window open space you are working in. With the check box selected, it continues to work as usual, ie. you switch to space with a window open for such a request. If not selected it will not turn spaces, but simply activate this question in the space you're working in.

Gruber believes that this is a significant change, because it utilizzarGli spaces on the basis of a task rather than a question. The behaviour of Dock has also changed. Clicking several times on the Dock of an application without open windows will produce different effects: clicking once will activate the application in that space; clicking a second time to pass a space in which the windows open. Be sure to check out Gruber's full description for more information, or simply RY for you.

I fully agree that this is the way it should work spaces, and it is great to see Apple provides the option for those of us who prefer to work in this way. If you prefer the organization of space application rather than task (the "classic" Spaces of conduct), simply leave the box checked.

A new portable One Latop for Chil

May 31, 2008

Nicholas Negroponte has recently submitted to Mit Boston the successor of XO, the laptop for developing countries part of the project One Latop per Child. The differences compared to odello currently on the market?

  • First, the cost, because if the existing one hour has a reduced, his successor has an even more ridiculous: 75 U.S. dollars, or less than half the cost today.
  • Then a new design, visible in the picture, very minimalist and, in my opinion, extremely elegant.
  • A new screen, Touch Screen, which will replace the physical keyboard with a digital permits, directing the computer in a different way, using the handset as eBook reader, which Negroponte will be the future.
  • An increase of energy saving: now the computer consumes only one watt.

All this should see light in 2010. I eagerly look that time.

My relationship with my iPhone has not been easy. On the one hand, is a platform absolutely brilliant - I just love for programming. On the other hand this is a price hoE. To keep it legitimate, are forking over a wad of cash for each month of AT & T and from there on to Apple (not to mention $ 99/year the new iPhone play tax). One of my biggest decisions this end involved give my data plan. Leaving behind the $ 20/month data plan as my "optional" saved me $ 240 this year.

It arrived RapidWeaver

May 30, 2008

RealMac Software today released a new version for the good RapidWeaver, which comes hours to realse 4.0. The update brings with it substantial news from an aesthetic point of view, showing a 'graphical interface initial completely renewed and revised. In this small novelty adds the ability to tune its site to better display and use on 'iPhone (for example by setting the icon for the "WebClick" device) and, moreover, the system sfruttmente Core Animation and Quick Look, technologies introduced by Apple with Leopard and, therefore, not available for those who decide to use the program on Tiger.

The update is free for all holders of the previous version, or 3.6, while it has a cost of 20 euros for those who must upgrade from a previous version to 3.6. The entire cost of the programme, er those who have never bought before, is 79 U.S. dollars despite, for a limited period, will be offered to 59.

I will strongly advice the purchase. Very often I spoke of this software on the blog because I consider one of the best programs available for Mac that if I were a Windows Users, invidierei to our platform. The use by several years now, for different and various sites (among them rietra also my staff, Eppol.net) and, for now, have never been disappointed and I continue to use imperterrito. In short, it is worth a try.

Lancaster commercial for Apple Store in autunn

May 30, 2008

Filed

It's strange to feel affectionate toward a shopping mall? While I have not visited Park City Lancaster, PA, as a child, I still have a sense of being "my shopping mall" - my wife is cresciutin Lancaster, and I believe that over the years I have absorbed some of its connection to place . Retail of nostalgia spousal proxy? I'll have to check for that in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Now, with confirmation that an Apple Store is heading for Park City (initially reported ifoAppleStor </ a \ u003e in April), are affected by this strange sense of pride mixed with relief. Pride, because my adopted mall is becoming its Apple Store last; relief, because now I can dispatch my father-in-law somewhere closer to home when hardware needs help. Maybe I should visit the Genius Bar and leave us a photograph and profile of the system, in case.

LancasterOnline.com reports that the store will occupy a square foot-4900 slot in the commercial center, and is scheduled to open late October 2008. I hope that the presence of the new store to validate and promote activities to Lancaster's indie Mac Macheads concession, but I fear that they may find business slipping to new store over time.

Thanks, CR!

Ah, Fireworks. I remember as the application that made me know the PNG format in 1999. CS4 fireworks, the group of applications that the beta version of Adobe introduced Tuesday, is the last long line Macrome - I mean, Adobe - website rapid prototyping tools. Users looking for a more Photoshop or Illustrator-like experience will probably be disappointed.

If my last exam is any indication, there will be no fireworks, but after the jump.
